Research interests

Benjamin Anderson teaches in the School of Art History and Cultural Policy at University College Dublin. His research concerns working conditions and worker organizing in cultural, creative and craft industries. His work has appeared in multiple journals and collections including Labour/Le Travail, TOPIA: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies, and The Global Labour Journal.


Beginning September 2024, he will serve as Assistant Professor and Ad Astra Fellow in Creative and Cultural Industries in the School of Art History & Cultural Policy at University College Dublin.

As a critical political economist and labour researcher, Benjamin is interested in the changing conditions of work and workers' attempts to challenge and improve these conditions. Some of his major areas of inquiry include:
